Its D'antoni. Lin is playing the Nash role, ball in hand majority of time and making decisions for the team... Um that's Kobe's job here. Doubtful Lin would have the same success on a team with a dominant 2-guard.

And? Lowry is averaging 14.9 and 7.6 throughout this season and he's most definitely not an All-Star.

Lowry's been the league for 5 years already and has started 130 games in his career. Lin is a sophmore and has done with his first starts that no one in NBA history has ever done. It's not a stretch to say that Lin > most NBA PG's.

If they were screaming greatness from the get go, this kid wouldn't have been undrafted and cut twice. He's in the system and situation to look good. Show me more than a handful of games but until then he's just another kid getting 15 minutes of fame.

You misunderstood. I said they were screaming greatness about those other guys, and didn't question their initial production.

Tell that to Toney Douglas, Mike Bibby, Iman Shumpert etc. who all couldn't come close in the same "friendly" system.

Those three players suck. And it's not as if I'm taking anything away from the kid, he's got talent. But to say he's an All-Star or compare him to legends...that's insulting to those players that deserve All-Star praise and the legends of the past.

Dude, Mike Bibby? He's a 1000 years old. Shumpert is a defensive specialist and Douglas is not a ball in hand PG to orchestrate every possession. It takes a certain type of PG for that, which Lin obviously is and has found the right coach/system for him. Chris Paul would probably win 3 mvps in the Nash role.

No, that's my point: people didn't question those guys before they'd proven anything because there was more hype surrounding them when they turned pro. Despite their production and Lin's production being no different once they got there.

They don't suck. They're just not stars. And yet they were all drafted and signed to guaranteed contracts, unlike Lin.

Lin is only in his 2nd season and the best PG in the league. Pau is good but on his way out. Even though I understand why some people didn't like the CP3 deal, you also have to think longterm. When you factor in age, it becomes a no brainer. Especially if you can get a decent PF in return.

Lin is the best PG ever. Move aside Magic. In fact at this pace, Lin will be the best player ever in the next year. Jordan, ppshhaw. Kareem, nawwww. Wilt, childs play. JLin for the win.
