so with another fracture discovered in his ankle, I doubt to many teams are going to come through and offer him a big time contract. With that said what would you guys think if we threw him a bone, say 3yrs/10mill....not much money but he wouldn't be a focal point and would fill in a reserve role, say 10-15mins max a night. Not only could this extend/revive his career but also garner more capital for Dr. Buss. I believe with lesser expectation and mins played, his injuries can be greatly reduced.

If Lakers can sign him next off season for a 1-2 year contract for less than $5 million, it would be a risk worth taking. Im sure if he came back, it would be to the Rockets though.

So the Lakers add another big with chronic injury issues? That's just silly. Especially with money being tight.

But then the reserve would be the All Star game starter, and our starter would be the reserve.
