Trade rumors are too much for ol’ Mitch!![]() OC Register: EL SEGUNDO – The world knows the Lakers intend to make more changes, but Lakers general manager Mitch Kupchak said Friday the club is not making any of the widely rumored trades in advance of Tuesday’s draft. “Every trade I’ve heard about that has been publicly released has been 100 percent inaccurate,” Kupchak said. “I don’t know where they get it from. If I can find out, somebody should pay dearly, because they’re misleading a lot of people. … If I can find out, there should be something that can be done to these people. It’s just not fair.” Lamar Odom called the Lakers’ offices Thursday to see if his friend and teammate, Caron Butler, was being traded, as Odom had heard. The Lakers have three picks Tuesday, Nos. 10, 37 and 39; Kupchak said he expects to use them. “It’s unlikely anything will happen, that’s just the way it is,” he said. “Maybe if something happens, it’ll happen towards the draft. That’s when it seems to be a flurry of activity.” NOTES Kupchak reiterated he’s unlikely to use the 10th overall pick on a high school player. … A decision on Vlade Divac’s remaining $5.4million option year is expected next week. The Lakers also could let Divac go and then re-sign him for less money. … Kupchak said power forward Marcus Douthit, the Lakers’ second-round pick last season whose rights they still own, was impressive in a minicamp Tuesday Sound off in the Lakers Forums!
